Class Spotlight: Sports conditioning

Do you want to train like your favorite athletes? How about just getting outside and getting a workout on your lunch break? Then sports conditioning may be for you!

We model our sports conditioning classes after exactly that, strength and conditioning exercises and drills used by top athletes and designed to build speed, agility, and explosiveness. This give us the opportunity to vary our workouts with different types of movement, different muscle groups, and different equipment. No two workouts will ever truly be the same, so if you like variety in your workouts, this will be a great class for you. A workout in sports conditioning will usually combine a few components (speed, agility, explosiveness) to make a full, fulfilling workout that will make you feel successful and accomplished sitting at your desk after you get back to work.

Our philosophy as instructors is to train like athletes, and we want to bring that into our class. Frequent exercises in sports conditioning can involve hill sprints, multi-directional agility drills, sprints, endurance runs and anything else that we can come up with as well. Sometimes it may be as simple as a relay race, sometimes it may be an obstacle-course like circuit class.

Whatever you’re feeling like doing in a workout, we have it. So come to sports conditioning and train like the athlete you are.
